Over at Lattanzi Land, Josh is ranting about political largesse, Obamacare, M*A*S*H, and some guilty pleasures of his and Dustin's. In the
Jess's writing has been slightly less poticially charged, as she chronicles preperations for her and Jason's upcoming nuptials this September. Personally, I fall into the crowd where I don't really care if an invitation I receive has one or two lines in it, I am just happy to get one...and I'm also happy to see Jena's name on it too. However, I do understand that for some people, etiquette is everything. I'm all about the etiquette. Chivalry may not be dead, but common courtesy is on life support it seems. Hold the door for somebody, it won't kill you to take 3 seconds out of your day to do something nice for somebody else. When driving a car, let that person in who is stuck in the lane that is about to close. Look somebody in the eye when shaking their hand and wish them a nice day. Believe me, you will feel better about yourself if you just do simple things for other people, not just yourself.
Elsewhere, the NFC Beast blog is all wrapped up in post draft post mortem...and apparenlty RGIII did the Tonight Show last night. Leno asked him about his socks. Boy, would it be nice to see RGIII go back to the Tonight Show as Super Bowl MVP after the Redskins..........nevermind.
So you might be wondering what has been keeping me occupied, clearly not blogging! This past weekend my brother Joe graduated from the University of Illinois with a Masters in Architecture. It was a great weekend for the Caputos as it was the first time in our family's history that we all came from multiple locations to meet up as a family in a state other than Maryland. Myself and the folks drove 10 hours from Columbia to Champaign, IL. It was a very nice bonding experience for myself, Mom, and Dad. Mom staged her own little protest of "Occupy the Back Seat" while Dad and I traded driving duties for the duration of the trip. May I say that the states of Ohio and Indiana are BORING! Upon our return, Dad and I had the wonderful task of replacing the sump pump in our house. It was quite the bonding experience. Joe is now on the search for that elusive employment opportunity. He has a couple interviews next week in Bethesda and New Haven, CT. Wish him luck.

Tonight is also the Relay for Life. You might remember I made a humble plug for this important event a couple months ago, and tonight is the night. Our team has already smashed our fundraising goals, but why stop there? If you would like to make a donation, please visit my page or our team's page on the Relay website. It is very much appreciated. We will not be staying all night at the Relay, but not without a good reason. Tomorrow is Jena's graduation from McDaniel College with a Masters in Education as a reading specialist. So this will once again be another fun, exciting, yet at the same time busy weekend in the life of Caputo's Corner. I'll have a recap (hopefully) after the weekend of all the excitement. Thank you again for considering a donation to Relay!

Ranting? I consider my blogging to be exceptionally well-reasoned! Anyway, Dustin doesn't share my guilty pleasures - he is my MLB The Show character, since I never make myself.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the Relay!
