HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAPUTO'S CORNER!

Today, Wednesday January 11th, is Caputo's Corner's first birthday!  Wow, has it already been a year since I started this feeble attempt at providing quality contributions to a blogosphere that is already overridden with nonsense, but honestly not enough Josh Lattanzi and Rob Bodine?  How many of you actually thought that I would still be in the blogging industry after a year?  Me neither :-).  I am very proud of what we have accomplished here at the blog.  We had quite a bit to talk about in 2011, over 300 posts, 5600 page views, and who knows how many comments and questions both here and on Facebook.  Oh but the fun is just beginning.  We had so much fun with our first full year at Caputo's Corner, why not go for more in year two?  2012 will have lots to offer blogwise, especially in a presidential election year.  I have not given much attention to the election process, granted, but as we get deeper into the primary season and closer to the general election, I'm sure I'll have some more political content.  Also, since we have this Mayan calendar nonsense, expect a lot more science and mythbusting content.  Don't forget all the football, basketball, hockey, and other quality sports-related content you have come to expect here at the blog.  Now that football season is over (at least for my team), we'll be paying a little more attention to the NHL as they get closer to the playoffs.  The NFL Draft is in April, and I might even write up another top 10 list for you to enjoy.

In the meantime, thanks to the wonder that is blogger statistics, I have links to my top 5 posts of the past year.  I wonder how relevant they are now.  Hope you enjoy them.

2011 was such an important year in the world of blogging.  Here are some of the more important events that we covered her at Caputo's Corner:

-Retirement of the Space Shuttle

-Opening of the Intercounty Connector (MD 200)

-Wedding Season (to be continued in 2012)

And I may have discussed football once or twice.  We all look forward to many many more exciting events to cover here at Caputo's Corner...and yes, the top 10 lists will return soon enough!
