Oh boy...Menace II Sobriety (Caputo's Corner's official team at Wednesday night trivia league) got weedwhacked tonight at the Greene Turtle. It even go so bad that Rick the emcee called me over and reminded me that his favorite president to make fun of was Millard Fillmore (not to mention his favorite author is Shakespeare and his favorite musician is Bruce Springsteen). The question was: "Who was the last president who was neither a Democrat nor a Republican in party affiliation?" The answer, of course, was Fillmore. Yet, in our haste we proudly wrote down "Franklin Pierce" on the slip and wagered the maximum (8 points at the time). Ugh.
There is always next week. We're due for a top ten list on...I don't know...elements...and a Name That Tune segment where the theme is going to be the Space Shuttle.
