Pats or Genos: That is the Question

The answer is Pat's by the way...

You can't go to Philadelphia without doing two things.  First, you have to get an authentic Philly cheesesteak.  Now, there are some that will say that Pat's or Geno's are not authentic steaks, they're just the tourist traps.  Real Philly steaks are sold by the small-time vendors on streetcorners.  Whatever.  It's not Philly without going to the corner of Passyunk, Wharton, and 9th Street and watching the paper drip with the grease.  After breakfast this morning, I don't think I'm going to eat again.  I've got a few calories in reserve.

The other thing you must do when visiting Philadelphia is order a lager.  Pennsylvania is the only state where you order a "lager" and get Pottsville's finest: Yuengling!  Unfortunately, the bar we went to for drinks after the cheesesteaks was flat out of Traditional American Lager...D'OH.  I had to settle on Bass Ale instead.  At least I can say I got to order a lager...and the bartender knew exactly what I was talking about.  When we go out later this afternoon I will try again...and hopefully this time I'll get exactly what I ordered.

I'll have more ISTE content later.  The Pennsylvania Convention Center is HUGE!  I thought Baltimore was big.  I thought Orlando was big.  I am currently sitting in the big ballroom waiting for the keynote to start.  We were just treated to a demonstration of dancing autonomous robots.  Today's sessions include more robots and Web 2.0.  I'll also hopefully include an exhibit hall report...as well as Caputo's Corner's guide to attending expos and conferences (I literally just got that idea for a post...no joke).
