Dolphins 20 Redskins 9-Game Analysis

If there ever was one sequence that pretty much sums up the Redskins season in minature, it was the sequence early in the 4th quarter with the Dolphins up 13-9 and the Redskins having 1st and goal on the Miami 10.  Grossman had just completed a long pass to Leonard Hankerson to set up the down and distance, and I caught myself saying to myself, "Wow...how did he pull that one off?"  The very next play was a Rex Grossman special.  Miami then proceeded to march down the field and score what proved to be the backbreaker.

I really don't have anything else to say about this.  I can pretty much give the same exact analysis as I have given for the last 5 losses:

-Rampant nepotism
-Our offensive problems go far beyond the quarterback (regardless of whether or not it is Beck or Grossman)
-Defense is extremely thin up the middle and nobody seems to care (except for Reggie Bush..REGGIE BUSH!)
-The team does not even really seem to care that they have lost 5 games in a row and are out of contention for anything.  They don't even seem to care about their own jobs...with some notable exceptions

Here are the exceptions to that last line:

-Ryan Kerrigan
-Brian Orakpo
-London Fletcher
-Roy Helu (only because he stands a very good shot at being the starter for the long term)
-Fred Davis

I could name a few others, and I'm sure Dustin will provide a few, but that's really all I got.  I can't really say anything more about this disaster of a football team.  We're not even going to get to draft one of the top quarterbacks next year (although since Miami has one more win, it might happen after all).  Andrew Luck is a pipe dream, he's going to Indianapolis, but Matt Barkley (USC) and Landry Jones (Oklahoma) could very well fall into our laps.  Either one of them would be generations ahead of the fools we have under center now.  That's what I'll be keeping an eye on for the rest of the season, that and fantasy football (MIISFFL) of course.
