Giants take a Prince at #19

Prince Amukamara that is.  Solid corner, good ball skills, but his physicality could hurt him in the NFL.  His physical style of covering might be legal in college, but in the NFL with the 5-yard chuck rule he'll get flagged for illegal contact every time.  He should spend training camp (what training camp?) fine-tuning his craft with an understanding of the rules.

Anthony Armstrong would still burn him on the post pattern, welcome to the NFL, rook' :-)

We're starting to get to a point in the first round where my knowledge of the players involved is starting to dwindle.  I'm kind of hoping somebody steps up and takes Gabe Carimi from Wisconsin, that way I can say GOOD PICK, and reference my draft profile piece on him.  He's a stud on the line, good head on his shoulders, and I emphasize that in my piece (shameless plug I know).  Playoff teams are also now starting to pick.  We really get to see now who's done their homework on who's left in the Green Room (obviously not me, but I'm not an NFL general manager, am I?).  The Patriots pulled off a trade with Oakland to move up and take Nate Solder, highly sought after pick from Florida.  Another classic Bellichick draft day coup, or just something else to make AK aggravated?

  1. He's from Colorado, and he's a developmental offensive lineman (read: easily adapted to cheating). He was a high school TE and a TE early in his college career. Which mean's he's massive, 6'8" and change. But fuck him, and fuck the Patriots.

Looks like Castonzo is going to KC, which means we could get Carimi. Oh Holy Flying Spaghetti Monster, grant me this my wish! RAmen.

  2. Thank you for the correction, senor AK. Carimi to Indy? Peyton would be proud...

  3. KC traded to Cleveland, who's taking a D-lineman. So we get our pick of two top-notch OTs that we've been pegged to pick, depending on whose mock you consult and when you consult it. In Polian We Trust.

  4. Castonzo it is! 6'7", 311, smart kid from Boston College. Gets to stick it to the Patriots every year (remember, they picked a bullshit TE to play tackle for them ahead of him) every year. FUCK TO THE YEAH!
