With the 8th pick...the Tennessee Titans select

Quarterback.....

JAKE LOCKER!!!

So I whiffed on that one.  The classic case of what do they know that we don't, both about Jake Locker and Blaine Gabbert?  Nobody questions Locker's toughness, as the ESPN highlight montage shows, and that's got to count for something.  However, in the NFL, option quarterbacks are usually frowned upon.  This is why I question this pick somewhat.  Yes, Gruden, he is a winner, but that doesn't necessarily translate in the NFL.  Stats and style do.

Aldon Smith...linebacker...was the first Missouri Tiger off the board.  Gabbert is still in the Green Room, and visions of Aaron Rodgers is dancing in his head.  Wait a second, Rodgers won the Super Bowl.  Bet he's saying, "take your time guys, no rush, I like it in here!"

The Cowboys are on the clock now...and then...

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS....That's next!

  1. Locker's not really an option guy. He's got a prototypical size and skill-set, and if he's a smart dude, he'll make a fine starter. It sucks that he was in a crappy program, of course. You should be happy, though, 'cause you guys can still get your boy Gabbert.

  2. Traded the Gabbert spot to Jax. Stoopid Redskins.

  3. This is the part of the draft (Tennessee, Jacksonville, and Houston picking in near succession) that I like to call "Futily Chasing the Colts."

  4. First time ever the Skins actually trade to get MORE draft picks. WTF?
