Steelers should not throw another pass tonight

We have seen that when Big Ben puts the ball in the air...bad things have happened.  When they have run the ball, with either Mendenhall or Redman, the Jets have been absolutely trampled.  For some reason, Rex Ryan's defense cannot tackle.  The Steelers backs are making a living running into the line, then pulling some kind of spin move to the outside, catching the Jets with their pants down.  There have also been way too many broken tackles and poor attempts are arm tackles.  This was supposed to be a defensive struggle, and it's not looking that way.  The Steelers are doing exactly what I thought they would be doing in my previous post.  They are trying to break the Jets' spirit.  Broken tackles and spin moves by running backs is a good way to do that.  Throwing bombs in the direction of Darrelle Revis will only help to make the Jets feel good about themselves.  I think they made that mistake for the last time tonight.

They did bog down on the two, however.  Shaun "Wide Left" Suisham can apparently hit 20 yard field goals...just not from 23.  That could be the moral victory the Jets need to get things going on offense.  They are only down 10-0 when they could very easily be down 14-0 or even 21-0.  They need to attack Pitt's secondary on this next possession.  They got some PI and defensive holding the last couple of times.  That could be what they need to get the offense in gear.

UPDATE-The Steelers actually mixed things up on their last possession to increase the lead to 17-0.  This is getting ugly fast for the Jets.
